Balances and settlement time

How funds move through your VINR balance before reaching your bank.

When a payment succeeds, funds move through your VINR balance before being paid out to your bank. Understanding settlement timing helps with cash flow planning and reconciliation.

The balance ledgerAsk

Your VINR balance holds funds in two states:

  • Pending — captured by the card network or payment method but not yet settled to VINR. Funds at this stage are still reversible (e.g. through a dispute or ACH return).
  • Available — fully settled, reserved for payout to your linked bank account on your payout schedule.

Funds move from pending to available on the timeline below. You can always see both balances in Dashboard → Balance.

T is the business day the payment is captured. Days are banking days; weekends and holidays shift the window forward.

Multi-currency balancesAsk

VINR holds a sub-balance per currency. EUR collected stays in your EUR sub-balance until you instruct a payout. You can hold and convert at a time you choose rather than auto-converting at settlement — useful if you want to manage FX exposure or wait for a favorable rate. See Multicurrency for conversion options.

Payout scheduleAsk

By default, VINR initiates a daily payout of your available balance to your linked bank account. You can change this to weekly or monthly in Dashboard → Settings → Payouts. Manual payouts are available at any time for the current available balance.

Your first payout may be held for a short verification period while VINR confirms your bank details — this happens once and does not recur.

Instant PayoutsAsk

Eligible merchants can receive available funds within minutes via a linked debit card, available 24/7 including weekends and holidays. A per-payout fee applies (higher than standard payout fees). Enable in Dashboard → Payouts → Instant Payouts.

For managing linked bank accounts, multi-currency payouts, and your full payout history, see Payouts.
