VINR Analytics surfaces payments-specific metrics beyond transaction history — acceptance rates, authentication data, and actionable optimization signals that help you understand where revenue is lost and how to recover it.

Acceptance rateAsk

Your acceptance rate is authorized payments / (authorized + declined), expressed as a percentage. Track it over time and segment by card network, issuer country, payment method, and amount band. A sudden drop is the first signal of an issuer rule change or an integration regression — investigate before it compounds.

Authentication analyticsAsk

SCA compliance requires 3D Secure for many EU transactions, but not every payment needs a full challenge. Track your challenge rate versus frictionless rate in the Authentication section of the Dashboard. A rising challenge rate adds friction and reduces conversion.

Monitor SCA exemption approval rates to see which exemption types your issuers are accepting. Compare conversion before and after enabling specific exemptions — low-value and low-risk exemptions typically produce the largest frictionless uplift.

Decline breakdownAsk

Decline typeWhat it meansDashboard view

Invalid requestAPI or integration error on your sideError logs

Use the 30-day and 90-day trend views to distinguish issuer-side spikes from fraud pattern changes. An issuer spike will typically be concentrated on one decline_code; a fraud shift will spread across multiple codes with a rising Radar block rate. See Declines for recovery strategies.

Dispute rateAsk

Your dispute rate is disputes as a percentage of transaction volume, tracked on a rolling 90-day basis. Card networks monitor this independently and impose fees or fines if you exceed their thresholds — typically 0.9% for Visa and 1% for Mastercard. The Dashboard shows your current rate alongside each network's threshold so you can act before approaching those limits. See Disputes for prevention and response.

Payment method adoptionAsk

When you offer multiple payment methods, Analytics shows which methods customers actually choose. Use this to decide whether to promote or enable additional options. If 40% of your EU customers skip the card form and choose a bank redirect, iDEAL or VINR Pay may lift conversion meaningfully for that segment.

Optimization recommendationsAsk

VINR surfaces actionable suggestions automatically in Dashboard → Payments → Optimization:

  • Enable network tokenization to improve issuer trust scores and lift authorization rates
  • Upgrade 3DS exemption types to reduce your challenge rate
  • Add a payment method that is popular in your customers' region

Recommendations are ranked by estimated revenue impact based on your recent transaction mix.
